Clear rules for private records
Data Retention Policy
Hear Me Later retains information only as long as needed for the service, user instructions, recipient access, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations.
Unreleased content
Active unreleased content remains while the account is active and within plan limits. Deleted drafts, replaced temporary files, abandoned uploads, and expired exports are scheduled for removal after short operational recovery windows.
Released content and recipient records
Released content may remain available for the access period selected by the owner. Delivery, consent, dispute, and access records may be retained longer to protect recipients and document authorized release.
Security and verification records
Authentication events, audit trails, purchase records, death-verification evidence, reviewer decisions, and support records follow configurable schedules based on security, legal, and dispute requirements. Sensitive evidence remains access restricted.
Backups and deletion
Deleted data may persist temporarily in encrypted backups until normal backup rotation completes. Restored backups are subject to deletion replay procedures. Production schedules must be reviewed against applicable law before launch.
