Frequently asked questions
Can a message be released just because I stop using the app?
No. Inactivity never establishes that someone has died. Death-triggered content requires a documented case, multiple verification signals where possible, human review, owner notifications, and a cooling-off period.
Can a trusted contact see everything in my account?
Only if you explicitly grant that access. You choose the person, the exact content or folders they can reach, and whether they may view, upload, schedule, or manage anything.
Are the plans subscriptions?
The initial plans are designed as one-time purchases with defined storage allowances. Plan names, pricing, limits, and availability remain configurable.
Does Hear Me Later replace a will or attorney?
No. It helps organize messages, wishes, and documents, but it does not replace a legally executed will, trust, advance directive, or professional legal advice.
What happens after a recipient opens a delivered item?
A recipient can download it or save it to their own private Hear Me Later vault. After they confirm receipt, the delivered copy is retained on our servers for 30 days, so saving what matters is important.
Can a professional see my private messages or documents?
No. A connected professional can see only planning readiness, never your private message, document, or file contents. You remain in control of every private item.
